Christina Filossaint: Three negative things about designer babies is that in the future they may be able to use genetic technologies to modify embryos and choose desirable or cosmetic characteristics, simply trying to bring about children through IVF is already ethically problematic, and beyond disease diagnosis and gender selection, the issues become thicker. Eye color and hair color are conceivable, as they have definite places in the human genome, but, as of late, no technology has come forward that can select traits such as personality and IQ

Myrline M: Three negative things about designer babies  is that the designer baby would grow up feeling like he or she was only born to be a organ donor for his or her sick sibling, trying to create a perfect human- the scientists can't, and babies shouldn't be experimented on through their whole life time.

Sherri duverger: Some negative of designer babies is, the babies will be too high a price for some couples. Also as the babies grow up some parents may dislike the choices they made in the past because of the outcome of the babies. Some of the family traits that are passed down from generation to generations will not or can't be truly paced in the babies.

(Tristian Erdman) some of the negative aspects on designer babies is that for some couples it will cost way to much. Maybe someone might feel odd since they were geneticaly made and their siblings might make fun of him. Or the child might not like the traits that was picked for hin

Sherri D: Designer babies-you can make a baby with the characteristics you choose, the baby can be born without any diseases, it can be born without any defects like dyslexia.

Three benefits of bioengineering about Designer babies is that Parents have the choose to have a designer baby in  order to help their sick child with a rare disease , chose the character traits of the baby(gender, intelligent, and skin), and the baby would be everything the parents wanted. (Myrline.M)

Christina Filossaint: Three benefits of designer babies is that the parent chooses the traits of the baby, wipe out diseases caused by the equivalent of faulty batteries in cells, including muscular dystrophy, and advanced reproductive technologies allow parents and doctors to screen embryos for genetic disorders and select healthy embryos.

(Tristian Erdman) Three benefits of designer babies is that that there characteristics can be chosen for example their hair color and eye color can be chosen and stuff like being smart or athletic too. You can also fix any bugs like mental defects or get rid of any diseases like asthma.

Christina Filossaint: We choose designer babies. Based on what I already know about designer babies, I don’t think this type of genetic bioengineering is good because you’re basically making someone look a certain way. The only good reason to use this type of genetic bioengineering is to create a baby without any diseases/disorder, but then again if you could afford paying to make a designer baby then you could probably pay to treat or cure a disease/disorder.

The bioengineering choose we made was the one with the Designers babies. and no I don't think that designing your baby before they are born is good , because to me it’s like changing a person because you didn't want them to look a certain way.(Myrline.M)

Sherri Duverger: We choose designer babies because we liked the idea of babies that you can design to your liking. Also it was the one that we (the group) had a little knowledge in. I always wanted to do this also because it's very interesting to know that mankind is so intelligent that we can came to the point that we can create life.

(Tristian Erdman) We chose Designer babies because it just fascinated us the way you can choose the characteristics like hair color or eye color. You can also choose your baby to be athletically gifted or super smart. Another thing you can do is fix any defects like a growth disorder before they are born or even get rid of any diseases they have.
